Fitness is not rocket science. That being said, here at Functional Intelligent Training, we seek to provide you with the most up to date, efficient, and proven methods to help you reach your fitness goals. While each person has unique needs, there are fundamental movements that each and every one of us perform. Master these movements and we'll teach you to advance through workouts tailored to your specific needs and goals.
Understanding how the body responds to these movements and exercises allows the coaches here at FIT to methodically train your body to move stronger, faster, for longer. Periodization is a structured and time oriented progression in which exercises, repetitions, and resistance are acutely varied in order to achieve a desired outcome. Random is not part of our training philosophy. Structured, methodical progression will challenge your body and enable optimal transformation.
Finally, we believe value in a workout comes not through it's intensity but through education. We seek to teach and educate you on what you are doing, how to perform the movement, what muscles should feel engaged, and most importantly why you are doing it. Being conscious of active muscle groups improves muscular recruitment and ultimately your performance.

We strive to provide an optimal training environment. Free weights, cable systems, training sleds, rowers, bikes, and most importantly your body will allow you to get an incredible workout each and every time you step into Functional Intelligent Training.
In addition to our state of the art facility, the other variable in your training environment is the team which you surround yourself with. We understand that people are motivated differently, and for this reason we want to optimize your work capacity while inside FIT. If you're self-motivated, a team of you and your strength coach is ideal. Others may choose to train with a spouse, friend, or co-worker to help push them through a session. Team oriented clients can be pushed by a larger group, so feel free to gather up your tennis buddies or bowling team for small group workouts.
The flexibility in training sizes gives you control of your workout atmosphere, and helps ensure that you achieve the results you desire. Find what pushes you most in the direction you desire to go.
